Inhouse Therapies

Acupressure

A Chinese method of cultivating Qi (or Chi- universal energy) within particular points along a meridian to bring any disharmony into balance. Disharmonies are ameliorated via a combination of hand techniques and herbal applications. Typically these treatments are done with the recipient lying on the table fully clothed. However, depending on the meridian to which the practitioner is drawn to work, exposing the back or lower legs may require some disrobing. Liniments, Moxa, and Fire cupping are often utilized during a treatment.

Chi Nei Tsang

A form of Chinese massage encompassing all abdominal organs and intimately linked with the emotional energy associated with each one. This method is an excellent way to enhance the body's natural detoxification process utilized by these organs. Emotional functioning also improves as the recipient and practitioner state affirmations during the massage. In a session, the recipient lies on the table with only his/her abdomen exposed.

Emotional Release Massage

This is a trademarked concept of inviting healing into one’s experience. Starting in the hips and thighs we are careful to proceed deeply with caution. The Trunk is where all major muscles intersect, thus the source of most muscle tension. Suprisingly, when one focuses soley on this area all other "issues" tend to clear up.

Herbology

The study of herbs' healing components. Compresses, extractions, lotions, salves, and teas can all be made upon request/recommendation and tailored to your particular malady. All remedies are made with organically grown herbs of the finest quality. Please keep in mind that time serves the chemical change process of concoction; therefore, extractions and some teas may require time to materialize.

P.N.F. (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) Stretching

A unique modality involving assisted stretching and only known by a select few. The main tenet is to “reset” the nervous system's habitual pattern of movement. It is an ideal way to increase one's range of motion or compliment a strength-training regimen.

Reiki

A Japanese art form of palm healing. The practitioner provides little to no touch on/over a person’s head, face, torso, and/or other affected area. The recipient is fully clothed while lying on the table. During Reiki, the recipient may experience a wide range of sensations such as heat, magnetism, tingling, twitching, etc. It is not uncommon to fall into a deep meditative state, from which one awakes, having felt relaxation and rejuvenation on many levels.

Qigong

A Chinese method of cultivating Qi through movement and breath. It is a meditative form intended to harmonize energy (Qi) flow throughout the meridians. Although a practioner is not needed, the practioner can introduce the method, and the recipient can practice on his/her on.

Shiatsu

A Japanese style of light point holding along a meridian to improve energy (Ki) flow throughout the meridians. The recipient lies clothed while on the table.

Thai Massage

A Buddhist medicine practice of "Healing with The Hands". Legs and feet of the therapist can be used as tool of healing on the body or limbs of the recipient. Oil is not used in traditional Thai Massage. A full Thai massage session typically lasts two hours or more, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body; this may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking the knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, and arching the recipient's back into cobra pose. When synced up with slow deep abdominal breaths, you can maximize the sensations and surrender to peace.

Vitality Guidance

A key phrase that helps one maintain Vitality within their experience is, “That which is like, unto its self is drawn.” An easy concept to conceive, but have you achieved its understanding to the deepest level that your life continually brings you joy?

As a society we are constantly seeking guidance via instant gratification e.g. the internet, our cell phones, instant messenging. The difference we offer is that we focus our intention to hold the space; this allows you to master your own guidance program. Through modeling, compassion, and accountability should you create the space for a deeper awareness we will lovingly hold the space as you explore paths to your potential.
